From Lori, bride:

I am happy to refer Amy as a wedding planner--so much so that I wish I could not only do it again, but do it again the exact same way!!

In short -- I loved working with Amy, she is tied into amazing vendors and my wedding was truly perfect for my husband and me and just how I had envisioned it -- she was instrumental in getting me there -- At a time when you are as nutty as can be and your family is going to go crazy, she remains a voice a reason and a sounding board that will become irreplaceable for you during that time.

Also, she got right away that I what I wanted was not the "typical" wedding band or photographer, but not so "atypical" that it would be foreign to everyone -- the vendors she picked out for me fit my wedding like a glove. She will feel you out and within moments steer you to the right person -- she will go the extra mile (and did) to find the right place, and people for you to work with.

She is organized in an understated way and keeps you on track when all you want to do is procrastinate (at least I did) -- she walks the fine line between bride, groom and parents with great aplomb and she did it all while she was pregnant!!
And most of all, she will become that "objective" friend -- the one who will really tell you the truth. I can't say how much I miss talking to her 12 times a day - if you choose her, you will not regret it.

From Annmarie, bride:

The minute I got engaged, I started the search for a wedding planner. I wanted a NYC wedding in a loft so that I could make the space my own. I had met with 4 other planners before I met Amy. Within 5 minutes of speaking with her, I knew I had found the one. She is not pretentious or judgmental as I found with the other planners I had interviewed. She is so re-assuring and I felt from the beginning that she would be able to execute the vision I had for my wedding.

Amy is the most amazing event planner. She has fabulous taste and added new ideas that I never would have thought of. She knew exactly what I wanted even when I wasn’t able to express it. She has relationships with great vendors and worked well with new ones. When planning a wedding in an empty space, you need to bring in everything imaginable. It is a pretty daunting task. Amy thought of everything and handled coordinating a wedding from the ground up so effortlessly. She was able to coordinate with all the vendors so that they came together seamlessly. She was always available to me to answer any questions that I had and to calm me down if I had any crazy meltdowns. On the day of my wedding, everyone was amazed at how unusually calm I was. I was so calm because I knew that Amy has everything under control and the result of all our planning came out a million times better than what I could even have envisioned.

I cannot recommend Amy enough. She is innovative and creative. Amy is experienced and is a complete professional. You can feel 100% comfortable entrusting her to plan your event. I am looking forward to planning many parties with her in the future.

The wedding was more than anything we could've dreamed of. It’s so hard to pick out a favorite detail because everything really was wonderful. The band was amazing, and the flowers took my breath away. The food and cake looked as good as it tasted. I look back on our wedding day in awe and disbelief because it really was perfect. You really are the fairy godmother of weddings. Thank you, Amy!

Let me know if I can serve as an endorsement for your business. Our event was made possible by the organization and creative thinking that you do.

From Jessica Alton, Director of Sales, Thomas Preti Caterers:

Perhaps the biggest compliment I could pay her would be to say that if I were getting married tomorrow, I would want to have Amy Jacobs plan my wedding. She is enthusiastic, smart, detail oriented and creative all wrapped up in one charming and sincere package.

I know that my affair would be special, and a reflection of me because Amy puts a unique spin on everything she touches. She thinks out of the box, coming up with new and innovative ideas and is collaborative with the best creative talents in the New York market.

Amy is easy to work with and as a vendor who works with many partners and caters lots of weddings, I understand the importance of good communication and flexibility. Amy is both flexible and communicative, and when we work together, I feel confident that they will be executed well as result of her organization and attention to the details. If you are looking for “champagne service” you need not look any further than Amy Jacobs
